The Printup Home - Outside
Once an estate of hundreds of acres, now just 1.6 acres remain, yet the property has 990’ of road frontage on Rte. 5S, and about the same on the NYS Erie Canal Bike Path. The third boundary of this triangular-shaped lot is a paved approach to the (way underused) Bike Path. Attractively landscaped with an ample variety of mostly mature shade trees, including a few massive ones, it features two nearly identical “fronts”, both with replica curved-roof porches, one facing the road, and the other facing the Bike Path and the site of the Erie Canal. Even through the location would not be termed quiet, there are no other homes in sight - zero buildings. It has the sought-after Fonda-Fultonville Schools, considered to be the County’s finest.
Water is from a true artesian drilled well and there is an modern updated septic plus additional gray water handling. A small stream bubbles just feet beyond the lot’s boundaries. Although located at a low (warmer) elevation and close to the Mohawk River, it is not in the flood plain and has never suffered flooding from the Mohawk, which runs nearby.

The lot is nearly all open, with ample lawn surrounding the home. In the map to the right, you can see the NYS Bike Path. Further right is I 90, the Thruway, and beyond it, just barely out of the picture, is the Mohawk River. To the left is State Route 5S. The short side of the triangle is a paved access road to the Bike Path. Both are little used. In the winter, snowmobiles do have access to the Path. The building just to the right of the home is where the barn once stood. The lawn behind the home goes nearly to the Path.
